The Harris family from Discovery Channel’s show "Deadliest Catch" suffered their most recent loss on August 10, 2023, when Jake Harris’ wife Shawna Brinkly passed away.
Brinkly was only 38 years old when she died. Her younger brother, Thomas, announced her death on Facebook but didn’t reveal the cause.
Jake Harris had a history of substance abuse issues. When he grew closer to Shawna, he was still using, but she didn’t judge him and pushed him to do better.
