Here's What The Cast Of Pee-wee's Playhouse Is Up To Today

Paul Reubens
Paul Reubens played and created the character Pee-wee Herman. In addition to playing Pee-wee on the hit TV show, he reprised the role in several movies.
Aside from Pee-wee, Reubens had notable roles in films like “Blow,” and TV shows like “Reno 911!,” and “Portlandia.” He passed away in 2023 after a private battle with cancer.
John Paragon
John Paragon was known for his roles as Pterri and Jambi the Genie, but was also involved in directing, producing, and writing the show alongside Reubens.
Paragon helped create the comedy horror character Elvira and was sporadically active in the movie business until his death in April 2021 at the age of 66.
Laurence Fishburne
Laurence Fishburne played the part-time role of Cowboy Curtis in “Pee-wee’s Playhouse” and would wear a variety of multicolored clothes and hats.
He became the show’s most successful cast member with roles in acclaimed films like “Pulp Fiction” and “Boyz n the Hood” and blockbuster franchises “The Matrix” and “John Wick.”
Kevin Carlson
Clockey, Conky 2000, Floory, and Knucklehead were brought to life by famous puppeteer Kevin Carlson.
Carlson has appeared in “Timmy the Tooth,” “Crank Yankers,” and “Lady Gaga & the Muppets’ Holiday Spectacular.” As of 2023, he is still puppeteering and voice-acting.
Wayne White
Wayne White joined “Pee-wee’s Playhouse” as a designer but also worked as a puppeteer and voiceover artist for Dirty Dog, Randy, and Mr. Kite.
Since the show, White has worked as a painter and artist who creates installations featuring puppets, historical events, and 3D structures.
