HOW CHARLIE SHEEN LOST
HIS MONEY
By WILLA HART
History - Science
Charlie Sheen was once the highest-paid actor on TV, making almost $2 million per episode on “Two and a Half Men.” Although this wealth added up to a staggering $150 million at one time, Sheen has been undergoing some financial issues lately.
Sheen’s financial situation started worsening when he was fired from “Two and a Half Men” in 2011, due to his disruptive behavior on set and demand for a raise, following a visit to rehab. Following his termination from the show, Sheen found a leading role on the sitcom “Anger Management,” but nothing has paid him as well as “Two and a Half Men.”
However, in 2018, Sheen was $12 million in debt and was paying $50,000 a month for alimony, $500,000 a month for child support, and even more on his staggering medical bills. Additionally, his habit of spending extravagantly, like hiring a personal chef, depleted his bank balance significantly, leaving his net worth around $10 million.
