Jeff Beck is a renowned guitarist who was once part of the English rock band Yardbirds. He has been in and out of the spotlight since briefly forming his own group in 1967, and one of the many artists he has collaborated with over the years is actor Johnny Depp.

Depp’s first love has always been music — in fact, he had been trying to pursue a musical career in Los Angeles before he got his first big movie role in Wes Craven’s “A Nightmare on Elm Street.” Collaborating with Beck has allowed him to continue this dream, and they released a cover of John Lennon’s 1970 song “Isolation” amidst the COVID pandemic in 2020.

Visiting and performing with Beck has allowed Depp to find some solace from his recent defamation trial. While waiting for the jury’s decision in 2022, he made a surprise appearance at one of Beck’s concerts; Beck introduced Depp by saying that the actor knocked on his dressing room years ago, and they "haven't stopped laughing since." It's safe to say their friendship goes beyond their music.
