Whatever Happened To Kato Kaelin?
By ALEXANDRA SIMON
History - Science
Born in 1959 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Brian "Kato" Kaelin was working as a small-time actor when he was suddenly drawn into the 1995 trial of O.J. Simpson. Since he was a close friend of Simpson’s and lived on his property, he became an important witness who helped piece together the timeline of the June 12 murders.
After the trial, Kaelin found himself attracting unprecedented attention from the media. While he didn’t land any major acting roles in the '90’s, he hosted radio shows, did interviews with Larry King, and continued to appear as himself in various reality TV programs. Questions about the O.J. trial always followed him, and in 2014, he finally admitted that he believed Simpson was guilty.
Kaelin continues to act, with his last role being in the 2018 TV movie “The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time.” It's not clear what he has been up to these days, but as of February 2021, he did take part in The Los Angeles Tribune's "Quantum Leap" Forum.
