  • Louis has worked as a professional writer since 2014 when his first article was published in Maybe Magazine, which is a free zine local to his home in England.
  • During the wee hours of the morning, on the graveyard shift, Louis found himself at The Sun Online, in London, soft editing and story building current affairs and politics during the Brexit era in the Sun's CMS.
  • UGC footage kept Louis busy at Newsflare Ltd. where he would wade through truckloads of stringer-sent videos, writing them up and editing them for purchase by newsgroups such as the AP.

Experience

Louis has a wealth of experience in a wide range of fields from writing for small local magazines such as Maybe Magazine to covering the royal wedding of Harry and Meghan as associate producer with CBS, London in 2018. He cut his editorial teeth with The Sun Online, in London, story-building and editing current affairs. With Newsflare Ltd., Louis worked as an editor writing up stringer-sent UGC news footage for online publication. Prior to being a professional journalist and continuing through to today, Louis worked as an actor and playwright. He toured the world with "Stomp," banging on trash cans for the masses, and since has had four of his original plays produced for cash-paying audiences. In 2020, he started Shakespeare in the Ponce, which is a series of outdoor Shakespeare performances in the heart of Atlanta, and he continues to produce theater in the Atlanta area. Continuing his varied career, Louis opened and ran a yoga studio in the idyllic English country village of Marlow, after he received his Ashtanga Yoga teacher training in 2009. He continues to practice Yoga to this day as he feels it helps maintain his mental health.

Education

Louis achieved a Master's Degree with honors in Journalism from City, University of London, which is a red-brick building on the East End of London with a rich history of exceptional journalism training. It's just down the road from the lauded Red Lion pub, which is well-known for great theater off the beaten track.
