Experience

Timothy's pursuit of journalism began when he moved to the Bay Area to attend San Francisco State University. There, he became involved in the NewsWatch program, which monitored fair minority representation in the media. He then became an on-camera entertainment personality for QTV News Magazine in 1995 before moving to San Diego in 2000. After a long hiatus from writing to foster and adopt two children, in 2015, Timothy helped launch the online horror entertainment site, iHorror.com. Since then, he has become a leading voice in LGBTQ+ news media as the editor-in-chief for San Diego Gay & Lesbian News, where he tapped into his appreciation for music to provide detailed coverage of musicals like "The Lion King." He lives in Arizona, where he interviews musicians and leans into his passion for classic rock for Phoenix New Times and Edge Media Network. Timothy later joined Static Media to write about another of his favorite things, food, for Static Media's food verticals and to expand on his reporting on all things music at Grunge.

Education

Timothy completed coursework in journalism at San Francisco State University and received his bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications at Bridgepoint Education.
