Here's Who Inherited Juice Wrld's Money After He Died

Chicago rapper Juice Wrld was on his way to the top before his sudden death in 2019 (via All Music). Born Jarad Higgins, he began to upload his music on SoundCloud, which caught the attention of local music producers. Almost overnight, Juice went from an underground artist to a star. According to GQ, his song "Lucid Dreams" became his breakout hit and earned him a record deal with Interscope. When his debut album "A Death Race for Love" was released, it shot to No. 1 on the Billboard charts and was certified gold.

The reasons for his rise to fame were his honest and, at times, heartbreaking lyrics, that spoke about his struggles with drugs. Juice was reportedly addicted to prescription opioids and codeine cough syrup. This all came to a head on December 8, 2019, when someone tipped off that narcotics and weapons were on Juice's plane (per NPR). When it landed in Chicago, officials searched the aircraft and Juice suffered a fatal seizure. He had just turned 21 and was flying back home to celebrate his birthday with friends.

Juice Wrld's estate has increased since his death

According to NPR, it was determined that Juice's cause of death was an accidental overdose of codeine and oxycodone. The Mirror alleges that he swallowed the drugs in order to hide them from the officers who were searching the plane. Tragically, Juice was supposed to go to rehab two weeks after his death. His friends and family had recently been alarmed by his increased drug use and urged him to get help. Though he agreed, it was ultimately too late. The Blast reports that at the time of his death, Juice was worth more than $3 million. His assets included a Miami condo, jewelry, and watches.

Per TMZ, Juice was not married and had no children. His father had also recently died. Thus, his mother, Carmela Wallace, filed to be the administrator of her son's estate. Since Juice's death, his net worth has only increased in value. Celebrity Net Worth reports that in 2020, he made $15 million. His mother later created the Live Free 999 fund in Juice's honor. They donated new instruments to his former school, where he participated in band (via Variety). Though his life and career were brief, Juice still left his mark on the world.
