The Truth About Tommy Lee's Relationship With His Son Brandon
If you thought your relationship with your father was rough, just take a look at hair metal rocker Tommy Lee's with his oldest son, Brandon, one of two children Lee had with actress and Playboy centerfold Pamela Anderson. As you might expect, the two don't spend the weekends fishing or setting up model trains. Brandon grew up with a sex symbol mom and rocker dad who had a drinking problem. The parents had a pretty abusive relationship with each other, according to E! Online.
You'd have a rocky relationship with your dad as well, if yours had a history of throwing you raging birthday parties that often ended in controversy. CNN reports that a toddler drowned at Brandon's fifth birthday party, and the police were called to the house at least three times during his rave-themed rager for B-day number 14. That actually turned out to be his son's favorite part, the Mötley Crüe drummer told Access Online. Things apparently got pretty wild at the shindig deejayed by Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys. "I don't know what happened," said an obviously lying Lee, "but the ice broke and the next thing I see everybody is rolling around on the floor, glow sticking, dancing, and the cops come three times." Sure, Tommy boy.
Lee turns into a lame dad complaining about his sons' lack of discipline
Is there anything less rock 'n' roll than a dad complaining about his sons' lack of discipline? Lame. That's exactly the kind of dad that "Live Wire" Lee turned into. On Father's Day 2018, he whined on Instagram that he had "failed as a father," according to Yahoo! Entertainment. He said his sons "don't know the value of things. If they break something, they don't care because they know they'll just get a new one; if they hurt someone, the don't care because so many people tell them it's OK."
And who did the metalhead blame for his sons' disposable view of the world? Lee tossed the blame Pam's way, saying that she enabled the bad behavior by buying them things they wanted even when they didn't behave themselves. The pillar of parenthood even called Brandon and his brother, Dylan, "a**holes."
Brandon responded by posting a video of his dad passed out on the floor, the caption implying that he'd been knocked out there by his son in a physical altercation earlier that year: "Look a little sleepy there, Tommy." Mamma Pam sided with her son. A source close to the situation said that in Anderson's eyes, "while Brandon is Tommy's biological son, that doesn't make Tommy a real father." (Neither does playing drums on a roller coaster make you a real rocker, Tommy.)
