Experience

After working six seasons as a park ranger at Acadia National Park, Becky turned her attention to journalism. She worked for two years as a staff reporter for the Mount Desert Islander and started writing features for Grunge in 2024. She penned a biography entitled "Jeremiah Hacker: Journalist, Anarchist, Abolitionist," published by Frayed Edge Press in 2019. A self-taught birder, Becky is obsessed with the Canada jay and will happily spend hours looking for one in the woods.

Education

Becky holds a degree in English from Mount Saint Mary's University and a master's in American and New England studies from the University of Southern Maine. She studied nonfiction writing at the Salt Center for Documentary Studies.
