  • Chris is the Senior Features Editor at /Film; he formerly worked as Senior Writer at Looper, and was a freelance entertainment journalist for nine years before that.
  • He broke into media as an editorial intern at MAD Magazine, and later became a regular contributor to the publication.
  • He has written about video games, film, television, and comic books for Playboy, Maxim, ESPN, Vice, GameSpot, and others.

Chris' first professional writing gig came as a contributor to MAD Magazine and he's been reporting on (and affectionately criticizing) pop culture ever since. Over the past 11 years, he's covered video games and gaming culture for outlets like Playboy, ESPN, Mashable, and Vice, and his writing about movies, TV, comic books, and the goings-on in a galaxy far, far away has appeared in places like Maxim, The Star Wars Insider, GameSpot, Digital Trends, and Paste Magazine, among others. In his spare time, he tinkers with screenplays, comic scripts, and novels, prototypes small indie games, and watches way too much baseball.

Chris studied English at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. His undergraduate thesis on 18th-century fart jokes didn't lead to many job opportunities, but he took enough film history, creative writing, and game design courses to make it worth the time anyway.
