  • Josh writes about curious and odd history and just plain weird things at Grunge.
  • He writes about history, weird and otherwise, regularly across mediums, including for the podcast "Cabinet of Curiosities," and the Simple History channel on YouTube.
  • His creative writing can be found in numerous online and print publications, and oftentimes gets weird, funny, and hopefully meaningful too.

Josh Sippie is a writer living in New York City. He has been writing professionally since 2012 and is the director of publishing guidance at Gotham Writers. He has written across numerous media, including for YouTube, podcasts, print, and online publications. He is a writer of weird and historical things, often both and sometimes neither. His fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and humor have appeared in various magazines across the U.S. and U.K., including The Guardian, McSweeney's, Hobart, and more. When not writing, he can be found wondering why he isn't writing.

Josh has a bachelor's degree in history and creative writing from the University of Central Missouri but attributes his growth as a writer to his makeshift master's degree from Gotham Writers.
