Richard DiCicco

Richard is an indepedent writer whose articles have been published by Richmond Magazine, RVA Mag, Nintendo Life, The Click, and CBR. He is also a published fiction author whose short stories, satire, and poetry have appeared in Plain China, Quail Bell, Poictesme (pwatem), and Virginia's Best Emerging Poets 2017. His art school background and professional experience as a journalist have allowed him to blend cultural history with source-based reporting to write features on baseball park design, augmented reality games, and how artists cope with local tragedies. Richard has also spent several years on local radio as a DJ and news anchor.

Richard earned his bachelor's degree in art history with a minor in creative writing from Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts, a top-ranked fine arts school in Richmond, Virginia. He later earned his master's degree in journalism from New York University's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, where he studied under professionals from CNN, NBC, Forbes, The Atlantic, and more.
