Experience

Andrew has been covering music since high school, writing reviews and recommendations. He served as an arts and culture reporter for The State Press in 2023, focusing on music, film, and their cultural impacts. He became the editor of the section in 2024 and managed features, concert coverage, investigative reporting, and more. He also worked at The Arizona Republic in digital production, where he edited line and copy and produced stories. At Cronkite News, he covered the intersection between sports and culture, including the landmark House v. NCAA case. He currently covers music for the Phoenix New Times, featuring local and visiting artists and concerts, and pursues creative, narrative, and essay writing both in and out of journalism.

Education

Andrew graduated from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School with a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication.
