Amy Beeman is a freelance and contact writer whose first published work was in BUST Magazine nearly twenty years ago. Since then she has been published in several local publications in the Tampa Bay area, and even had her own column in the alternative weekly, Creative Loafing. She was also published on Salon.com. Amy worked as a researcher for three years at WTSP, a CBS affiliate in the 11th biggest market in the U.S., where duties included fact-checking, writing web copy, document deciphering, and voluminous information gathering. She then returned to her true passion, writing, at Heavy.com before happily joining Grunge.com.
Education
Amy focused on creative writing while she worked on her Bachelors in the Arts in the subject from Eckerd College, then later continued her education at the University of South Florida. At USF she earned her Master's Degree in Journalism and Media Studies.
