  • Over his nearly 20-year journalism career Andrew has interviewed everyone from CJ Ramone, the bass player for punk legends the Ramones, to Nathaniel Rateliff, to John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats.
  • Andrew has written about the history of Farm Aid, the annual concert founded by Willie Nelson in 1985 to help save family farms.
  • Over the years, Andrew has seen hundreds of concerts, from Johnny Cash to Jane's Addiction, and while living in New Orleans had beers with Alex Chilton of Big Star and Dale Hawkins of "Susie Q" fame, among others.

Experience

Andrew is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience writing for the newspaper and magazine industry that has included covering music. He was a contributing editor at the ASME-award-winning magazine Modern Farmer where he covered music genres, entertainment news, and music history, among many other subjects. In addition to his work as a music-focused reporter, he is also a non-fiction author who has published four books.

Education

Andrew holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a master's degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.
